Palm Jumeirah entdecken
Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island community in Dubai, shaped like a date palm. Nakheel, a member of Dubai Holding, is the master developer. The project was launched in 2001, land reclamation ran from 2001 to 2003, and the first occupants arrived in 2007, according to MyBayut.
The island has three main areas: the trunk, the crescent and the fronds. Roads lead off halfway down the spine to gated residential communities. At the tip of the spine, a tunnel leads to the crescent, which has beachfront resorts and residences. The island reaches five kilometres out from the coast and is about four and a half kilometres wide.
The trunk has apartments, hotels, restaurants, cafés, marinas, private beaches, retail malls and attractions. Villas sit on the fronds, and branded residences are on the Crescent. The community is established and lived in, and new projects are still being built. Nakheel states that it is a designated freehold area.
