Palm Jebel Ali is an artificial palm-shaped island being built by Nakheel off the coast of Jebel Ali, Dubai. When finished it will have seven islands and 16 fronds, adding 91 kilometres of beachfront. It covers 13.4 square kilometres, twice the size of Palm Jumeirah. Work started in 2002, paused in 2008 during the financial crisis, and the project was relaunched in 2023 with a new master plan unveiled by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
The island connects to the mainland at Dubai Waterfront. A new public access road of nearly 6 kilometres will run from Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) directly to the island. The plan includes homes for approximately 35,000 families and over 80 hotels and resorts.
As of September 2026 the island is under construction. Nakheel schedules a phased handover of the first villas from late 2026 through 2027. Nakheel is part of Dubai Holding Real Estate.
